Program Interns

Refugee Wellness would not have existed without the hard work of MSW students who joined the team every year. From the project’s inception in 2013, UNC Refugee Wellness trained MSW students in providing culturally responsive mental health services to immigrant survivors of torture and trauma through a year-long field placement internship through UNC School of Social Work, with additional students joining the project as research assistants and UNC-affiliated undergraduate interns.
